Dear Parents,

We are entering our second heat wave of the season. Please do not let your children wear their sweaters this week. It is too hot. The teachers have been reminded to allow the students to get drinks every hour to keep the children hydrated. Please know that our snack supplies are selling out this week so supply your child with a full lunch.

This Friday is the last day for pretzel sales. Please send in a morning snack starting next Monday.  Remember next Monday is a full day of school; the last full day. I realize exams are over but the teachers will go over exams on Monday and any missed exams will be made up on Monday. School is closed on Tuesday for a faculty meeting.

Next week will be our final communication for the school year. The communication for the new school year will be sent either the week before school or the week school begins.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for making this year the success that it has been. Thank you to the hot dog and pizza parents, the nurses office volunteers, the lunch monitors, the Home and School Board, the special lunch parents, field day volunteers, chaperones and library aides, tech team, and coaches! And all the other jobs that I may have forgotten to mention! Supportive parents are an invaluable resource. They truly make the school!

Included in this weeks communication:

  •          Principal's Post
  •          Learning Resource Room
  •          Tentative Calendar for 2011-12
  •          8th Grade Parent Info for Graduation
  •          Alex's Thank you

Congratulations to our graduating class; we wish you well and continued success in the next phase of your education.

I would also like to say good-bye to the families that are moving and not returning to Presentation School in the fall. May our paths cross again and may you enjoy your new school community.

A final reminder letter for tuition, Fundraising fee and Cares payments was sent home with your children. Please be sure your fees are all paid so records and reports may be released. Access to Gradebook was locked for accounts that have not been settled.

This Friday is Kindergartens closing ceremony at 8:30. If you want siblings to attend the ceremony please send a note to your childs teacher with the request. If they do not have an assessment scheduled for that time you may pick them up at the main office prior to the ceremony. After the ceremony they will return to school immediately. The reception is for the K and parents.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Nancy Scharnikow
